HomeFront is taking their fight against family homelessness to the streets with the Run/Walk for Hope, a 5K and one-mile run or walk.
The sixth annual Run/Walk for Hope is scheduled for May 31 at ETS, 660 Rosedale Road, Princeton.
In addition to the race, the event features live entertainment, food, face painting and pre-race warm-up activities.
All of the proceeds are set to benefit HomeFront’s award-winning Joy, Hopes and Dreams children’s programs.
HomeFront and Lawrenceville Ford Lincoln have teamed up with Driven to Give. Participants have a chance to win an iPad just for taking an on-site test drive of one of Lawrenceville Ford Lincoln’s many new cars. By taking a a no-hassles test drive, participants help HomeFront raise up to $8,000 for homeless children in Mercer County.
Once participants register online, they can set up a sponsorship page through HomeFront’s website to collect donations.
Check in and registration is set to begin at 9 a.m., the 5K race is scheduled for 10 a.m. and the one mile fun run/walk is set for 10:15 a.m.
Registration is $35 in advance and $40 on race day.
HomeFront is a non-profit organization dedicated to easing the pain of homelessness and helping families become self-sufficient. It provides safe, secure, short-term and long-term housing, permanent residences, job and life-skills training, day care and educational programs for children.
