The Community Christian Choir (CCC) will celebrate its 40th season this fall with its musical series “Miracle of Peace,” set to open on Nov. 30. More than 80 children and 30 adult singers will participate.
“Miracle of Peace” is a commemoration of the Choir’s past 20 years of Christmas programs, a reference to the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Truce and a prayer for our present world of strife and fear.
“We want to remind everyone of the ‘miracle of peace’ that was given to us long ago.” said Patricia K. Weitz, director of the CCC. “Plus, it’s Christmastime and we want to help everyone get into the ‘reason for the season’ with some very special Christmas-themed songs. It will be inspiring for all of us.”
The CCC is a non-profit organization and ecumenical choir with vocalists from more than 45 area churches throughout central & southern New Jersey as well as Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
All concerts are free to the public. A free-will offering is collected to be donated to a specific charity at each concert. To date the choir has raised and donated over $205,000 to several local charities, including Meals On Wheels, Mt. Carmel Guild, Urban Promise, Anchor House, and many more.
The series will open at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Rt. 33, Robbinsville with 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. concerts.
