Princeton Public Library is set to host a screening and discussion of Spark: A Burning Man Story.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 6 in the Community Room, 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton.
Produced and directed by Steve Brown, the documentary is a behind-the-scenes look at the annual weeklong Burning Man festival held in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.
Rooted in principles of self-expression, self-reliance and community effort, Burning Man has grown famous for stirring ordinary people to shed their nine-to-five existence and act on their dreams. The burning of a large wooden effigy is a highlight of the event that is described as an experiment in community, art, radical self-expression and self-reliance.
Jon La Grace, who is featured in the film and is the founder of the Burning Man theme camp Play(a)Skool, is set to participate in a post-screening discussion.
The film runs one hour and 30 minutes.
