The Character Education Partnership awarded Lawrence Middle School the 2014 Promising Practice in Character Education.
CEP notified principal Mindy Milavsky that LMS is one of 315 schools, districts and youth organizations across the United States, Canada, China, Greece and Mexico to receive the award on May 30.
LMS was recognized for Cardinal Time Practice. This year’s winning practices include unique anti-bullying programs, creative ways to integrate character and academic subjects, effective strategies for developing student leadership, and activities that build community with the school and beyond.
Superintendent Crystal Edwards stated “I’m thrilled Lawrence Middle School has received this well-deserved Promising Practices distinction. The award is yet another endorsement and recognition of the Lawrence Middle School staff’s dedication to helping students develop good character, piece by piece.”
