Hamilton Township is set to host free rabies clinic and paper shredding events in June.
A rabies immunization clinic open to township residents’ dogs and cats is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. June 4 at the McManimon Township Building, 320 Scully Ave., Hamilton.
New Jersey Department of Health Policy requires the immunization of dogs every two years, even if the inoculation is good for a 3 year period.
For residents utilizing this service, all dogs must be leashed. As a safety precaution, dogs should be muzzled, if necessary. Cats must arrive in a carrier.
Free Paper Shredding Day is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., or until the shredding truck, is full June 7 in the parking lot of the Hamilton Township Municipal Building, 2090 Greenwood Ave., Hamilton. The event will be held rain or shine.
Residents will be able to shred paper materials and file folders, up to a 100 pound limit.
Items such as CD’s, VHS tapes, DVD’s, plastic cases, computer hardware, metal, trash items, food products, x-rays, cardboard or similar items are prohibited.
Both events are open to township residents only and require proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, tax bill or utility bill.
