Hopewell Public Library is set to sponsor a town-wide scavenger hunt in July.
Library staff has organized two self-scheduled, self-guided scavenger hunts. One hunt is for children and families, the other for adults and young adults. The hunts are free and open to all.
According to library staff, both hunts can be completed in two hours or less.
Unlike last year’s “hidden-in-plain-sight” hunt, this year’s Hunt Guides direct scavengers along a set route, using landmarks and specific directions. At key points, scavengers will be asked to look for signs, landmarks, items of interest, or cache boxes.
The children’s scavenger hunt is focused on the natural and architectural features of Gazebo Park in Hopewell Boro. It is suitable for children ages four to 10.
Hunt guidebooks can be picked up at the Hopewell Public Library starting July 1.
Children who complete the majority of the children’s hunt will be awarded a prize. Prizes from Hopewell businesses are available for the top contenders in the adult scavenger hunts.
