I have tried (think Grover silence and scandal, Trolley Line Trail claimed by Hsueh) positive suggestions and actions to improve West Windsor. I have been doing this for my 30 years of residency. I have not simply talked about improvements, I have actively undertaken measures. However, one can never shame a politician. I have submitted countless questions to the West Windsor administration for the right reasons — and constantly am stonewalled: “No such document or information.” As a private enterprise, you can do that; however, as a public entity, you cannot!
When I request information from Plainsboro/Pete Cantu/Bob Sheehan, they do not need an Open Public Records Act form. Rather, they simply answer the question(s) because they know the answers. The University Medical Center went to Plainsboro because West Windsor is negative and businesses need timely answers, not questions. West Windsor would still be holding meetings prior to approval or focusing on a pocket park.
Perhaps one person’s “negative”… is another person’s “call for accountability?” Should a gaping hole near the Cranbury Road bridge which the mayor / engineer / Director of Public Safety walked by one year ago August during his Cranbury Road sidewalk overview … be ignored? We turn the negative … into a positive. But nothing gets done! That remains my frustration.
I am actively soliciting those in the community who believe restoring and enhancing the spring-fed pond — the Oasis at Princeton Junction Station — is a worthy project. It is every bit more relevant than a pocket park or another bike lane to nowhere. West Windsor can do so much better with the proper leadership.
