Virginia M. “Ginger” Marrone, 71, of West Windsor died December 2 at Compassionate Care at St. Francis in Trenton. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, she lived in West Windsor since 1986.

She worked for the Department of the Navy at the Pentagon, the IRS in the intelligence division, and the Department of Defense, where she was responsible for the worldwide movements of Army, Navy, and Marine personnel and their families. She later served as managing director and producer for the Performing Arts for Children in Pittsburgh.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert S. Marrone; a son and daughter-in-law, Ryan A. and Susan; and their three daughters, Ellie, Grace, and Paige; a daughter, Leah Caroline Marrone; and a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Libby Straiter. Walter R. Stryker Jr., 68, of Delaware Township died December 5. Survivors include a sister, Jeannette Carson of Plainsboro.

Frank D. Russo, 95, of West Windsor died December 11 at Hamilton Continuing Care in Hamilton. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Russo served in the Air Force during World War II. A master plumber, he owned and operated F.D. Russo & Sons Plumbing for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Lillian (Scartocci) Russo; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Charline Russo, and Glen and Ellen Russo; grandchildren, Kathryn and Jennifer Russo, Scott Russo and wife Stephanie, Jonathan and wife Vicky, Alex Russo, Kayleigh and husband Chris Pettit, Brianna Russo, and Chris Conti and wife Erica; great-grandchildren: Julianna Russo and Christopher and Alexandra Conti; a daughter-in-law, Karen Filkins Booth; a sister-in-law, Mary Russo; and many other family members. Elwood J. Dempsey, 86, of Spotswood died December 13. He served in the Navy during World War II. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kathleen of West Windsor.

Roger Michael Holdredge, 67, of Bernardsville died December 14 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, he graduated from Providence College with a degree in business. After a career in the music industry for more than 25 years, he became a craftsman and woodworker who was skilled at building furniture. A longtime Boy Scout scoutmaster in West Windsor, Dempsey was a volunteer with Hospice of Princeton, and coached Nassau Hockey League and Princeton travel teams.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, JoAnn Alston; children, Kevin Holdredge and his wife, Beth; Chris Holdredge and his wife, Heather; Kelly Alston Gach and her husband, Michael; James Douglas Alston, and Jonathan Douglas Holdredge; grandchildren, Eric, Sarah, Ethan, Cate, and Ryan Holdredge; and siblings David, Michael, and Ann Holdredge.

Caroline Hubbard, AKA Miss H, formerly of West Windsor, died recently in Trenton. Homeless for close to 20 years, she was often seen sitting in front of Marshalls or walking along Route 1 or even camped out in small patches of woods in West Windsor. She was 71.

A few years ago, a small group of women took it upon themselves to reach out and help her with housing, transportation, shopping assistance, companionship, and financial support.

Edward W. Brown, 69, of Plainsboro died December 12 at home.

Born in New York City, he was raised in Woodhaven and studied political science at Queens College. He worked in the flavor and fragrance industry for more than 40 years, at H. Kohnstamm & Company International Flavors and Fragrances and Givaudan.

Survivors include his stepfather, Edward Beissel; his son, Stephen; and his daughter, Jennifer. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
