More than 30 of the area’s artists are set to open their studios and galleries for the sixth annual Hopewell Tour des Arts.
The self-guided tour features a variety of local artistry, much of which will be available for purchase, including paintings, jewelry, sculpture, lamps and pottery, among other creative forms.
Jeweler and partner of The Brothers Mood, Beth Judge, said participants will have the opportunity to see the inner working of an artist, from when their create their vision to completing the piece.
“When people have the opportunity to connect with an artist, hear their thought process, learn of their trials and tribulations and see the environment where it all takes place, a piece of artwork is no longer an intangible – it takes on new meaning,” Judge said in a statement.
The tour includes: Mic Boekelmann, Sandy Bonasera, Lynn Ebling, Beth Evans, Alex Goldberg, James Hendricks, James Jansma, Terrance Johnson, Beth Judge, Charlie Katzenbach, Janet Keller-Laughlin, Alissa Keller-Laughlin, Diane Lufrano, Sean Mannix, Karen McLean, Charles McCollough, Margaret Miller, Thomas Montanari, Pamela Morandi, Morpeth Gallery, Jody Olcott, Joyce Parkinson, John Plummer, Armando Sosa, Rick Stang, Lucia Stout-Huebner, Rebecca Sylvan, Kathy Varga, Jim Webb and Jane Zamost.
Self-guided maps are set to be available at the Train Station, Rail Road Place, and The Brothers Moon, 7 W. Broad St., or online at hopewellarts.com.
The event is co-sponsored by the Hopewell Economic Development Committee.
Hopewell Tour des Arts is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 12 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 13.
