Thank you, Mayor Hsueh, for:
– Your long-held vision for West Windsor’s fiscal, environmental, and social well-being.
– Your leadership and perseverance over the past years for achieving these visions.
– Your continued commitment to these visions as your goals for West Windsor’s future.
– Your decision to dedicate the next four years as mayor to making these visions a reality.
– Your judgment in forming the best possible team to accomplish these visions. They are: Kamal Khanna, council member since 2009, whose “voice of reasoned judgment” has always balanced “voices of destructive divisiveness” during council meetings, and Eric Payne, a fourth-generation West Windsor resident who will bring to council added know-how and support for residents’ issues such as traffic and transportation.
– Your benefit to West Windsor for securing funding for infrastructure improvements because of your past positions and contacts in county, state, and federal governments.
We feel strongly that Mayor Hsueh, Kamal Khanna, and Eric Payne will continue to move West Windsor forward together for the benefit of all residents.

We have a vibrant township, and it is just getting better. Under Mayor Hsueh’s leadership we have seen great improvements. On September 10 I attended the ribbon cutting for the West Windsor History Museum at the Schenck Farmstead. It was another clear example of why we need to re-elect our mayor and why our township continues to make great improvements. This mayor knows how to get things done. He knows what is important, how to work with all levels of government, and he listens to residents to address their concerns and issues. He provides steady, professional, financially responsible leadership. Listed below are some accomplishments that the mayor has been an initiator, a sponsor or a supporter of:
– Our AAA bond rating, stable municipal taxes, and well functioning government.
– The Farmers’ Market
– The transformation and redevelopment of a our downtown Route 571 with new businesses in the Windsor Plaza, Rite-Aid, and the planned improvements for the Ellsworth Center
– The Arts Council
– The Senior Center
– The additional parking for West Windsor residents at the train station.
– The West Windsor History Museum at the Schenck Farmstead.
– Township-wide infrastructure improvements: Alexander Road Bridge, Meadow Road, etc.
– Vision of sensible redevelopment and long-range planning for West Windsor.
– Attracting more businesses, such as BlackRock and Otsuka Pharmacy, to the town.
With all the above, the mayor and his team still have much more to accomplish. We can truly become one of the best townships in the state and the country.

In the past month or more I have been following the details of the upcoming election in West Windsor by reading local papers and talking to neighbors. One thing I learned is that one candidate will be a full-time mayor and one will not. Mayor Hsueh is, and would continue to be, a full-time mayor who dedicates all his time to improving our town. Hemant Marathe will likely not have time to do the same as he has another full-time job.
I am not criticizing him for having a job. It’s just that all things being equal, there are only so many hours in a day. Our town is not a sleepy little borough with a small population where being the mayor is something you can do on the weekends. West Windsor is a powerhouse with a population nearing 30,000 and a municipal budget of almost $40 million. Do we really want to change from experience and dedication to inexperience and part time?
Right now we have a dedicated, full-time mayor with a proven track record of results, Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh. This is evident no matter what corner of West Windsor you are in and has become especially evident on Princeton-Hightstown Road surrounding the former Acme center (now Windsor Plaza), our AAA bond rating, influx of business, 50 percent preserved open space, and many other improvements.
If we want West Windsor to continue in the right direction, I encourage people to vote for the Moving Forward Together Team of Shing-Fu Hsueh for Mayor, Kamal Khanna and Eric Payne for Council.
