Maurer Productions OnStage is set to bring Tony Award-winning musical Spamalot to Kelsey Theatre.
Based on the motion picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot takes King Arthur and his knights into new realms of parody on their quest for the Holy Grail.
Rude Frenchmen, can-can dancers, the Lady of the Lake and her Laker Girls, killer rabbits, catapulting cows, and the peculiar Knights who say “ni” are just part of the manic adventures awaiting King Arthur and his knights of the very, very, very round table.
The cast includes Kevin Palardy of Doylestown, Pa., Newtown, Pa., residents Robert Gougher and Stuart Myles, Tom Bessellieu of Hamilton, Justin Derry of Langhorne, Pa., Mimi Francis of Lawrence, Candace Chimielewski of Lawrenceville, Sean Downing of Lumberton, John Glace of Morrisville, Pa., Jen Defilippi of Pennington, Mark Applegate of Philadelphia, Pa., Plainsboro residents Scott Karlin and Dan Slothower, Sally Page of Princeton, Peter Bisgaier of Princeton Junction, Paul Phalen of West Windsor and Dominique Shaw.
Spamalot is directed by John Maurer.
The production team features musical director Laurie Gougher, choreographer Jane Coult, costumer designer Mark Applegate, prop mistress Dottie Farina, master set builder Jeff Cantor, stage manager/producer Diana Gilman Maurer and sound designer/producer Dan Maurer.
Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Nov. 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30; and 2 p.m. Nov. 17, 24, and Dec. 1 at Kelsey Theatre, located on Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance Nov. 15.
