Mercer County’s Public Ice Skating Center is set to open for the 2013-14 season Nov. 9.
The skating center, located at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, is open to the public seven days a week during the operating season, which runs from Nov. 9 to the middle of March.
The Skating Center has a snack bar, fireplace and lounge area, dining tables, vending machines, skate rentals, skate sharpening service and lockers.
The center offers general public skating sessions, birthday parties and ice time for hockey.
Opening weekend hours scheduled for 1 to 3:30 p.m., 5 to 7 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m. Nov. 9 and 1 to 3:30 p.m Nov. 10.
Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday. On the weekends hours are set for 7:45 to 10 p.m. on Friday, 1 to 3:30 p.m., 5 to 7 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 3:30 p.m on Sunday.
Senior Skate for skater age 62 and older is scheduled for 8:30 to 10 a.m Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Adult Only Skate for individuals age 21 and older is scheduled for 8:30 to 10 a.m Tuesday and Thursday.
Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and juniors, age 11 and under.
Skates rentals are $3 per pair.
Frequent skater and season passes also are available.
Group lessons for adults and children ages five and older are set to begin Nov. 9 and 10 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The lesson programs run for five weeks with rolling admission. Lesson prices are $65 for adults and $60 juniors.
Private skating lessons are held on Saturday and Sunday mornings. A private lesson for one person for 20 minutes is $22. A semi-private lesson for two people for 20 minutes is $26.
