The Princeton Clergy Association is set to host its annual Community Thanksgiving Service.
The service is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon on Nov. 28 at Princeton University Chapel.
The Thanksgiving Community Service at the Chapel is a tradition that started in the late 1940s. About 400 congregants attended the service last year.
The service features clergy and musicians from various faiths and choirs. Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert plans to read the President’s Thanksgiving Proclamation.
University organist Eric Plutz is set to play a prelude and postlude and accompany the hymns and anthems. There will be special music for the offertory.
An inter-generational community choir led by Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church director of music Beverly Owens will sing two anthems. Those interested in joining the choir should email reese.hansen@nassauchurch.org with the subject line “THANKSGIVING” including their name and voice part. Walk-in are also welcome.
Choir rehearsal is scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 28 at the University Chapel.
Congregants are asked to bring donations of nonperishable food items for The Crisis Ministry of Mercer County.
