Kiwanis Club of Trenton partnered with Wegman’s Market to provide Thanksgiving dinner to less-fortunate residents.
This is the third year the Princeton grocery store donated the meal. The club has been hosting the dinner for more than 30 years.
This year’s dinner is scheduled for Nov. 25 at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Trenton.
Trenton High School students involved in the Science Mentors One-to-One program are set to create a festive setting by helping to serve guests, as well as entertaining children in attendance.
The Trenton YMCA has joined the effort to invite Trentonians who might not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy this Thanksgiving tradition, and local cub scouts, boy scouts and girl scouts will be on hand to help.
After dinner, participants may visit with College of New Jersey students who will be available to provide free health screenings.
