The Historical Society of Princeton is set to host its annual meeting and lecture Feb. 6.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the Nassau Club, 6 Mercer Street, Princeton.
The historical society said the meeting will feature a Lewis B. Cuyler Lecture by Frank Newport.
Newport is the editor-in-chief of Gallup, a research company founded in Princeton in 1935.
The historical society said Newport’s studies focuses on analysis of the American public’s views of their elected officials and attitudes and behavior relating to key policy and issue areas.
Newport is set to present The Insider’s Guide to America Today.
The historical society said the lecture is about what Americans can expect from their country in 2013. Newport is set to reveal the “top 10 things about the American public that most people don’t know.”
The historical society said the event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. To register contact (609) 921-6748 x105 or jennie@princetonhistory.org.
The historical society is set to open a new exhibition Feb. 14.
The historical society said We Love Princeton: Stories from the Street is an “interactive look” at people, places and events behind the names of Princeton’s streets.
The exhibition is set to be open Wednesday through Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m at Bainbridge House, 158 Nassau Street, Princeton.
Admission is $4 for the general public.
