food, drink, a silent auction, and entertainment
The gala begins with a cocktail hour accompanied by Doug Miller on piano. Later in the evening, dinner and dance music will be provided by the Courtney Colletti Band.
Guests will get a sample of the Festival’s upcoming season. Bass-baritone John Dominick III, who has performed around with the New York City Opera and at Carnegie Hall, is scheduled to sing.
Dominick is the understudy for Mark Delavan, who is set to sing the lead role of the Flying Dutchman in June but cannot attend the gala because of conflicting performances at the Metropolitan Opera.
Aside from dinner, drinks and entertainment, the evening also includes a silent auction.
The Princeton Festival’s ninth season runs from June 8 to 29. The season is set to feature dance by Lustigdancetheatre, jazz by the a cappella groups the Bruce Barth Trio and Steelpan from Trinidad, medieval music by the ensemble Bernardus, a piano recital with Gulsin Onay, an organ recital with Matthew Middleton, a choral concert, a performance by Concordia Chamber Players, a piano competition for young musicians and the Flying Dutchman.
Individual tickets range from $250 to $1,000. The Festival said all proceeds will directly support the 2013 season.
The Festival is also offering a special cocktail-hour-only ticket for $45, which includes an open bar and entertainment.
