Tip, Honey and Lucky Bold Barks is an exhibition of his large-scale paintings of dogs against bold patterns and colors opened March 22.
The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is located at 1 Straube Center Boulevard in Pennington.
McClellan’s paintings are known for depicting dogs in “dreamlike interiors that feel homey and calm and that highlight the intelligence of our domestic friends.”
The artist, born in Arkansas, received a bachelors of fine arts from Memphis College of Art in Tennessee and a masters degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
He earned an honorable mention at the 45th Annual Delta Exhibition and the Mabel Wilson Woodrow Fellowship Award at PAFA. His work is displayed in baseball player Chase Utley’s private collection.
McClellan currently lives and works in Philadelphia, Pa.
The Straube Center Gallery a non-profit gallery, all proceeds from sales go directly to the artists.
