Folks at the Kuser Farm Mansion are busy “decking the halls” for the holiday season.
Each level of the house will be transformed into a different festive theme. Three rooms on the first floor will be decorated for a Victorian Christmas. Visitors will be transported into a Charles Dickens-esque holiday scene.
Additionally, Dragonfly Farms plans to decorate trees and the mantel on the ground floor. The business provided a centerpiece for the 16-seat dining room table, which is set for a holiday feast for the first time this year.
Moving up, the second floor will be festooned with traditional Christmas imagery. Each room is a different theme, including candy canes, sugar plum fairies and a winter wonderland.
The Jersey Valley Model Railroad Club will set up a display in the mansion’s basement. Their “train world” is scheduled to be open 6-9 p.m. Dec. 5-8, 6-9 p.m. Dec. 11 and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 15.
Kuser Farm Mansion opens for the holidays with its Winter Wonderland, scheduled for 5:30-9 p.m. Dec. 5, 6 and 7.
During the Winter Wonderland, visitors can take a quick look at the decorations on the 20-minute walk through.
Mayor Kelly Yeade is set to light the Kuser Farm Mansion tree at 7 p.m. on opening night. The event also includes a live band, food vendors, petting zoo and a visit from St. Nick.
The Hamilton Township recreation department will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots and non-perishable food for its Holiday Food Drive during the Winter Wonderland.
More in depth 45-minute Christmas at the Mansion tours are scheduled throughout December. The longer tours include history on the Kuser family and their home.
