St. Francis Medical Center is set to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day on June 5.
National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual, worldwide celebration of life that is held in many communities in June. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful and productive.
The celebration is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at the hospital, 601 Hamilton Ave., Trenton.
The event begins with a mass in the chapel followed by dinner served in the Café and light entertainment.
Anyone who was treated for cancer at St. Francis is invited to attend this event at no charge.
Participants should RSVP at (609) 599-6464.
The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation defines a “survivor” as anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life.
