Now is the time for Plainsboro businesses to let people know they exist — and they have at least two ways to do it.
The Plainsboro Business Partnership, a program of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, hosts its second annual business showcase at Market Square Tuesday, June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. At the showcase, businesses will be set up around the square in front of the Plainsboro Public Library. The event is free to the public. The rain date is Wednesday, June 12.
Local services and merchants will be at the business to consumer event, which includes music and food samples. For more information, call Cheri Durst, director of events, at 609-924-1776, ext. 105 or cheri@princetonchamber.org.
The business partnership is also creating a directory of Plainsboro businesses. The organization plans to give 2,500 to 5,000 directories to employers, hotels, medical facilities, and residential and corporate leasing managers when it is printed before the end of the year.
“We want local employees and visitors to know about the Plainsboro business community,” said Ed Keenan, PBP committee chair and owner of Document Depot at Forrestal Village. “There are people who visit our town every day, but may not be aware of the varied professional and retail services located right around their workplace.”
“There are so many professional services right in this community, and the diversity of these businesses is significant,” said Eileen N. Sinett, PBP committee member, owner of Speaking that Connects, and 25-year Plainsboro resident.
There is no charge to be listed in the directory. Listings will include company name, address, phone number, and website. Paid advertising is also available, with proceeds benefiting the chamber.
Interested businesses should contact Keenan at 609-520-0094, ed@documentdepot.net or Cheri Durst of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce at 609-924-1776, cheri@princetonchamber.org.
There is no charge to be listed in the directory. All businesses that have a physical presence in Plainsboro Township, or businesses that are a home-based business of a resident holding at least 15 percent equity in that business are eligible for the free listing. Listings will include company name, address, main phone number, and website.
