The Pennington School hosted graduation ceremonies for its middle school at Pennington United Methodist Church on June 6.
Along with announcing eighth-grade award winners, Head of Middle School Todd D. Paige joined Head of School Stephanie G. Townsend and faculty advisors in presenting the diplomas to 43 students.
Shaan Patel of Princeton was valedictorian; he also received awards for excellence in science and Spanish.
Salutatorian Isabelle Celentano of Newtown, Pa., welcomed the audience and was recognized for excellence in history and Latin.
Other eighth-grade speakers were Alexandra Zahn of Franklin Lakes, Elizabeth Paige of Pennington, and William Cromarty of Lambertville, who also received the award for excellence in English.
Among the other awards presented were those for excellence in mathematics and French to Jacob Feldstein of Princeton and in art and drama to Isabella Iorio of Hamilton Square.
An award for citizenship went to Scott Meggitt of Hopewell and for greatest improvement to Marjorie Long of Pennington.
