Vikash Bandi of Plainsboro was inducted into the National Honor Society at Mercer County Technical Schools’ Health Science Academy. This is the inaugural induction ceremony for the three year-old school.
Bandi, a rising senior, has been a Boy Scout for many years and has achieved the rank of Life Scout and acted as senior patrol leader. He has been on the yearbook committee and helped to publish the first two yearbooks for the school. A member of the debate team, he was a semi-finalist in the CVC Debate League. Bandi has played violin for seven years. A baseball player for eight years, he has been an umpire with Cranbury Little League for two years.
He is the student council president at the Health Science Academy, the chapter vice president of Health Occupations Students of America, a past executive state parliamentarian in HOSA, and a regional and state winner in HOSA. Bandi has participated in service activities at Rutgers Gardens, South River Township, Lawrenceville Township, Temple University, Princeton Alliance Church, NAMI, and American Red Cross.
