Princeton Merchants Association is set to host its Waiter’s Race July 11.
Local wait staff will are challenged to complete a course while balancing one glass of champagne, one glass of wine and two water bottles on their trays.
Participating restaurants include Blue Point Grill, Main Street Bistro and Café, Yankee Doodle Tap Room, Triumph Brewing Company, Witherspoon Grill, Agricola, Mediterra and Eno Terra.
First place prize is $250 cash, weekend overnight stay at the Nassau Inn, bottle of Champagne, Ace Hardware cooler, two $25 gift cards to local restaurants, $50 Hamilton gift card and La Jolie gift card.
The second place winner is set to receive $150 cash, bottle of champagne, Ace Hardware cooler and two $25 gift cards to local restaurants
Finally, third place prize is $75cCash, bottle of champagne, Ace Hardware cooler and two $25 gift cards to local restaurants.
This year’s the race is set to be held at the Princeton Shopping Center.
The merchants association is set to provide transportation for waiters who need a ride downtown to the shopping center. The FreeB Shuttle is scheduled to pick up riders at 3:15 p.m. at Hinds Plaza and return at 5:15 p.m.
Those interested in racing must pre-register. The fee is $20. All participants are set to receive an official race day t-shirt and a goodie bag.
The waiter race is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. July 11 at Princeton Shopping Center, 301 North Harrison St., Princeton.
There is no rain date for this event.
