The Gold Medal Impressions Orioles recently captured the West Windsor Little League championship in a 5-2 victory over the Athletics at Ward Field. Trailing 2-1, the Orioles rallied to score four runs in the sixth inning after managing just one hit in the previous five innings. Jake Naddleman, who reached base on a single, scored the tying run. Noah Goldner slid into home for the game winner.

The West Windsor-Plainsboro American Legion sits at fifth place in the Mercer County American Legion League. After advancing further than any other county team in last season’s state tournament, the squad has a lot to live up to.
The team is benefiting from pitching depth led by ace Paul Balestrieri, one of the county’s top pitchers. Christian Waters, Sunny Singh, Jack Liang, Paul Silva, Chris Campbell are all available starters. Balestrieri is also a top offensive contributor, in addition to Matt McCann, Mark Sitek, and Ryan Dontas, all coming off of solid high school seasons.
#b#WW to Host Babe Ruth Tournament#/b#
The West Windsor Plainsboro Babe Ruth League will host the Southern Jersey State Tournament from Thursday, July 18, through Friday, July 26, at Community Park in West Windsor.
The tournament for 13-year-old players consists of more than 20 games and will include the West Windsor-Plainsboro team.
The tournament is run exclusively by community volunteers. The West Windsor-Plainsboro Babe Ruth League is a nonprofit organization that strives to teach the fundamentals of baseball, good sportsmanship, character, and teamwork to the youth of West Windsor and Plainsboro.
The league seeks donations and support from local citizens and businesses for this tournament. If your organization would like make a contribution of food items for concession stand sales, baseball equipment, or field maintenance supplies, or if your organization would like to run an ad in the tournament program, please contact wwpbaberuth13@gmail.com.
Proceeds will be used to maintain the fields, to operate the lights and scoreboard, and to pay for umpires.
