Young Audiences New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania announced the winner Creating Hope With Honda Car Raffle on June 29.
Tom River resident, Gail Sopko, won a 2013 Accord Sport donated by Honda of Princeton.
The raffle took place at Family Fun Day, which was held at Honda of Princeton. The day celebrated YA’s 40th anniversary.
Along with the car raffle, president & CEO Larry Capo picked he winner of $5,000 of free YA arts programming for the school of their choice. Capo picked Belle Mead resident Matt Galvin’s raffle ticket.
Galvin chose to donate half the money to Montgomery Township’s Lower Middle School and the other half to a Trenton school in need.
During the event, participants used paint and different sized toy car wheels to create colorful expressions on large posters. YA roster artist Exit 9 and a percussion ensemble performed.
With the support of Honda of Princeton, YA Board members, teachers, artists and their supportive community, YA was able to raise over $55,000 for arts education.
