And the Beat Goes On Music Series continues with a curated evening of the best of the best from the West Windsor Arts Center’s open mic series, on Saturday, July 27, at 7 p.m. at Nassau Park Pavilion in West Windsor. Admission is free for the evening of music showcasing local performers.

Jack Marley Seda-Schreiber, the lead singer and multi-instrumentalist of the J7, a (literal) garage band known for its innovative and rousing covers, opens the show. He is just starting to make his own music with his new collaboration, Twosacrowd.

Marley, 13, is a rising eighth grade student at Grover Middle School. Though he is active in the music program at school he prefers to work on his own musical styling outside of school. He has been making music for many years, and in addition to singing and playing guitar, he dabbles on the piano and plans to pick up the accordion his uncle refurbished for him.

Marley cites as his influences the Gorillaz, the Beatles, Public Enemy, the White Stripes, Cee Lo Green, U2, and The Clash. Visit www.fearofajackplanet.blogspot.com to read more about him.

Robert and Daniel Grueneberg perform in a rock duo band called TGB (The Grueneberg Brothers) with Robert on guitar and Daniel on the drums. Robert is a rising senior at High School North. Daniel is a rising sophomore at North.

They also began their own company, TGB Sound, which provides live sound reinforcement for local events such as the WW-P’s Got Talent Show sponsored by the WW-P Education Foundation and the SAASA Cultural Show at High School North. All aspects of performance and live sound reinforcement are managed by the boys.

Daniel also volunteers at the West Windsor Arts Center Open Mic nights, providing waiter services to those who order food from Brother’s Pizza.

Anker, a solo acoustic singer songwriter from Cranbury, will also perform. He has performed all over the tri-sate area and raised thousands of dollars through benefit concerts for numerous charities.

His debut CD “Deliver Down” was released in August, 2012. Anker layers his acoustic guitar, a ukulele, and a bass on some tracks, to bring out the melodies and present his songs with more detail.
