Several writers from West Windsor and Plainsboro were published in U.S.1 newspaper’s annual summer fiction issue on July 24. They will be celebrated at a reception for the writers and poets at Tre Piani, Forrestal Village, Plainsboro, on Thursday, August 22, 5 to 8 p.m. Authors of prose will be introduced and poets will be invited to read. Writers from Plainsboro include O.C. Ezeadi, author of “Iniquity” and a finance manager at Novo Nordisk. William Hart presents “Ghost Busted.” Author of “Plainsboro: Images of America,” he is a long time member of the Plainsboro Historical Society and works on Wall Street.
Nikki Stern wrote “What Will Be.” Author of “Because I Say So: Moral Authority’s Dangerous Appeal” and “Hope in Small Doses.” Stern has her first work of fiction, “Short Circuit,” due out this fall.
E.E. Whiting, a longtime reader for the Summer Fiction issue, wrote “Parliament of Fowls.” The story is part of a series called “The Seven O’Clock Train of Thought.” She works at a large financial services firm.
Elizabeth Akin Stelling, a poet from Plainsboro, wrote “Pretty Book.” A wife, mother, chef, writer, activist, and — she says — insomniac, she is the managing editor of Z-Composition Magazine.
Writers from West Windsor include Shridhar Sadasivan with “Strangers.” A systems analyst in New York, his online blogs are “Dharun and Ravi: Two Different Worlds,” and “A Letter from the Girls of Those Days.”
Poets from West Windsor include Ilene Dube, a frequent contributor to U.S. 1, who wrote “Industry Today.” Corey J. Langer, a professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, wrote “Streetcorner Society.” Angela Stew, a graduate of High School North, wrote “Sunday in Princeton.” She studied literary arts at Brown University and was a nominee for a Creative Writing Capstone Project.
Edith McGowan, in the process of writing her first murder mystery novel, wrote “Window Rattler.” She is a member of Delaware Valley Poets, New Jersey Poet Society, Poetry Circle, and several book and writers groups.
