Rider University and Mercer County Community College officials signed a dual admissions agreement for global studies students Dec. 4.
Under the Guaranteed Transfer Agreement, global studies students can graduate with an associates degree from MCCC and transfer into Rider’s bachelor of arts degree program.
The agreement grants full junior-class admission to Rider for MCCC students who have declared their participation in the program before accruing 30 credit hours at MCCC, completed all courses in the prescribed program curriculum and earned their associate degree in liberal arts with a concentration in Global Studies. Students must have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
Rider will waive application fees.
Rider’s global studies major offers students the freedom to create their own course of study, combining courses from different departments based upon a student’s personal and professional interests. There are opportunities to study abroad in a variety of countries, along with international and domestic internship possibilities.
