I am running for School Board from Plainsboro. I want to help keep our district No. 1 and lessen the tax burden. Our district is great because our parents have invested their time and effort in education so their children can have great opportunities.
My background is as a CPA. Those experiences have taught me to jump into projects, ask lots of questions, and listen to the people who are actually doing the work, and then formulate possible answers or improvements, but I also learned that feedback and follow up questions are necessary. Most importantly the insights and cooperation of all stakeholders is the critical feature of a successful project. I would like to bring that attitude of asking questions to the district. Too often the board acts as a rubber stamp for the administration, rather than looking out for the students, parents and community. I will make it my mission to explain and clarify the budget. I will ask the questions that have been swept aside in the past years.
My family moved to Plainsboro 14 years ago. Both of my children are graduates of High School South and received excellent preparation for college. They participated in sports, music, and scouting. I have been the chauffeur, coach, booster parent, and scout leader. We have a great school system, but our taxes are very high. I hope to be a watch guard over the district finances and budgets so that we can continue the excellent education, but deliver it at an excellent price to the taxpayers.
Quentin Walsh
I am writing to endorse the candidacy of Quentin Walsh for the WW-P Board of Education.
As a member of the school board for the last three years, I have tried to be fiscally responsible, while at the same time maintain and enhance the academic excellence of the school district. This is a difficult task that requires an understanding of finance and accounting. As a certified public accountant, Walsh will excel at this.
Among its members, the school board has engineers, a retired educator, and a former PTA co-president. What the board does not have is a CPA. Quentin Walsh is a brilliant CPA who will add real value and make a tremendous addition to the Board of Education.

I am writing to endorse the candidacy of Mr. Quentin Walsh for the WW-P School board. I have known Quentin for almost 15 years, and I believe that he is the perfect candidate for our School Board.
Quentin is a tenacious problem solver, and his leadership and financial skills will serve the board well in these relatively tough economic times. He is not afraid to ask the tough questions, and to offer solutions that can yield “Win-Win” outcomes. Quentin’s work record, uniquely qualifies him for the role with the board. He has a CPA and an MBA. He has held senior financial leadership positions in a variety of high-profile establishments. As part of this work history, he has demonstrated leadership and awareness of financial oversight, reporting, standards, and other key elements.
In addition to these, he has been a major supporter of the WW-P education system. Along with his wife Ellen, he has followed up on the key issues, and has vocally offered his support to help steer the board towards the right solutions. He has also volunteered his time to help the community, by actively participating at the PTSA and Swim Team boosters. He has also served as a Boy Scout leader.
