At its August 21 meeting, the West Windsor-Plainsboro Board of Education approved Community Education (adult) classes for the fall semester. Several new courses offered are based on technology. They are: What’s All the Hype About Skype?; Digital Parenting for the 21st Century Student!; Social Media to Enhance Your Professional Development, and Wiki Workshop.
Other classes focus on health and well-being. Stress Management; “Organized Student for School Success: Qigong;” “Energy Healing: Qigong,” “Understanding the 5 Body Systems: Qigong,” Glitterhoops fitness; Bollywood Fitness; Bollywood Dance; Blues Dance Social; Hustle for Beginners; Strengthening the Bones, and Nia Dance fitness are all new.
For 2012-’13 “Community Ed” will offer new language courses as well: Hindi for Beginners and Mandarin (beginner and intermediate). Also new are music classes in West African and Middle Eastern percussion.
