West Windsor Arts Council is seeking artwork in various media to be offered at prices not exceeding $300 that may literally be taken off the wall at time of purchase. Classic or in current style attire includes business suits, jackets, blazers, slacks, skirts, dresses, shirts, blouses, sweater suits, shoes, and accessories are needed. Clothing may be gently used, but must be clean and on hangers. New Jersey Division of Elections offers Vote-by-Mail applications at NJElections.org in English, Spanish, Korean, Indian (Guajarati), and Chinese. Applications are also available at the Mercer County Connection, Hamilton Square Shopping Center, Route 33 and Paxson Avenue, Hamilton. The last day to mail in a Vote-by-Mail application for the presidential election is Tuesday, October 30.

Grounds For Sculpture seeks entries for “Focus on Sculpture 2013” from amateur photographers the juried exhibition. The primary requirement is that the images depict sculpture or present an image in a sculptural manner. The prospectus is available online. On display in the education gallery, the annual exhibit promotes sculpture as seen by members of the community through their photographs. Must be 18 or older. Mercer County Veteran Services is conducting its annual donation drive to help veterans and their families enjoy the comforts of a hot meal on each holiday. Rather than collecting donations of food monetary donations go toward the purchase of Shop-Rite gift cards veterans can use to purchase holiday meals. The organization uses every dollar collected to purchase and distribute the gift cards. Princeton High School Orchestra invites area musicians of all ages to perform on Friday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the school in a benefit concert for UNICEF. One of the selections is a rendition of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. The featured soloist will be Philadelphia Orchestra cellist Robert Cafaro, who will be accompanied by the Princeton High School Orchestra in Vivaldi’s C Minor Cello Concerto and the Andante Cantabile by Tchaikovsky. Washington Crossing Audubon Society offers one scholarship to outdoor or environmental teachers and educators in the Mercer County area for a teacher’s workshop Thursday, July 18 to Tuesday, July 23, at the Hog Island Nature Center on Muscongus Bay, Maine. The recipient will participate in field trips, discussions, and hands-on sessions with natural history and environmental authorities and teachers. WCAS will award one scholarship. The scholarship covers workshop tuition and expenses while on the island, but not travel expenses. The human-animal bond will be recognized through exceptional animals and individuals who have had a positive impact on animal welfare. To nominate your pet complete the application at www.njvma.org. All nominations should include an official application signed by the animal’s owner, the name and contact information of the animal’s veterinarian, and a letter of nomination from the animal’s owner or veterinarian explaining how the animal has exhibited special abilities or has demonstrated courage.
