Daniel Wade Varner, 62, of Plainsboro died January 1 at his home. He was a painter of landscapes and wildlife with a passion for paleontology. His paintings of prehistoric life hang in museums throughout the country and are published in books and journals on the subject.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Bell; his mother, June Varner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betsy and Ray Troyer, Holly Varner Moe, and Bonnie and Michael Zirbes. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
