Two fifth grade students from Millstone River School received honors in the New Jersey Association for Gifted Children Art and Writing Annual State Contest. Akanksha Dave, who received first place, and Katherine Xiong, who received second place, will be honored at the upcoming New Jersey Association for Gifted Children State Conference. The two students participate in a writers’ group offered by Joan Ruddiman, the WW-P district’s Gifted and Talented Resource Specialist, for all grade four and five students who love to write.
Saahith Pochiraju, a junior at High School North, placed third in the Brain Bee, a live question and answer competition, in which students were quizzed about the human brain and central nervous system. The event was held at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School on February 4.

St. John Fisher College: Freshman Caitlin Antaya of West Windsor is on the dean’s list. Her major is elementary and special education.

A son was born to West Windsor residents Janine and Bryan Manolakos, February 3.
A daughter was born to West Windsor residents Mayuri Raman Nayan and Nishant Nayan, February 4.
