Santa Claus is coming for an early visit to township neighborhoods — with a fire escort to help him on his way. Plainsboro, West Windsor, and Princeton Junction fire companies will be making the grand tour in the next few weeks.
The Plainsboro Fire Company’s annual “Santa Ride” will take place Friday and Saturday, December 14 and 15. Santa’s itinerary has 38 stops in 27 neighborhoods. Signs will also be posted at each stop. It is recommended that people arrive at the stop early and be prepared for a possible late arrival.
“We’ll be making a scheduled stop in each Plainsboro neighborhood,” say Jim Pedley, chief of the Plainsboro Fire Company. “That allows us to bring Santa Claus to each development and cover the entire township.”
The rain dates are Friday and Saturday, December 21 and 22. The schedule and revised times in the event of a rain delay or major emergency will be posted on www.plainsborofire.com. The schedule is as follows:

West Windsor Fire Company will make rounds with Santa on Tuesday, December 18. “The routes for each day have not yet been worked out and are subject to change due to crew availability and fire calls,” says Carol Padd, a member of the fire company.
