Rosemarie A. Sullivan, 61, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died June 17. She was the secretary in the transportation department West Windsor-Plainsboro Board of Education for more than 25 years before retiring in 2010. Edward Gross, a former Plainsboro resident, died June 28. Born in Brooklyn, he graduated from the University of Rochester, and received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School. His two offices of Gross & Novak specialized in government, election, insurance, banking, commercial and, corporate law from 1967 through 1994. As the General Council for the NJ Republican State Committee, Gross was instrumental in bringing a case to the Supreme Court arguing that the “state” had no right to interfere with political parties’ inner rules or regulations and the court found for Gross’s clients. He served as deputy commissioner of the NJ Department of Insurance, and director of law and then executive director of the NJ Turnpike Authority.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Lally Gross, his sister Margaret Queenan, and brother John Queenan. Donations may be sent to St. Barnabas Vincent DePaul Fund in Bayville, the Salvation Army of Asbury Park, or the Popcorn Zoo in Forked River.

Joseph E. Kwoka, 93, of Delran died July 1. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Peter Reich of Princeton Junction. Donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Restoration Fund.

Fred Froehlich, 83, a former West Windsor resident, died July 4 at the Stewart Meyer Hospice in Palm Coast, Florida. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he served in the Army. He was a manager at Bohren’s Moving and Storage in West Windsor until his retirement in 1992.

During his years in West Windsor he was an active volunteer for numerous groups, and president of the West Windsor Lion’s Club.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David C. and Susan Froehlich, and granddaughter, Kathryn of Cary, North Carolina, his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Froehlich and Mohamed Saliou Camara of Palm Coast, Florida, and his son and daughter-in-law, Colonel Chris Froehlich U.S.A.F. and Yvonne, and grandson, Jack of Dayton, Ohio; and granddaughter, Lisa and great-grandson, Dylan of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Marjorie Jane Stember, 80, of West Windsor died July 7. She was born in Brooklyn. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Barbara Stember, and William and Debra Stember; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan Stember and Willy Buhlmann; a brother, William Cohen; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation.

Marian Levine, 58, of Cranbury died July 8. Born in Staten Island, she was the grant and development coordinator at Corner House in Princeton and the former president of Congregation Beth Chaim.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth C. Levine; a son, Jason Levine; a daughter, Melissa Levine; and a sister, Jeanne Ciecko. Donations may be made to Corner House, Marian Levine Scholarship Fund, 369 Witherspoon Street, Princeton 08540.

Gale O. Snook, 92, of Plainsboro died July 11 in Merwick Care Center of Plainsboro. Born and raised in McClure, Pennsylvania, he lived in Plainsboro for 68 years. A member of the Plainsboro Presbyterian Church, he retired from Walker Gordon Farms and General Motors.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, June Propst Snook; two daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Harold Britton Jr. and Gayle and Harvey Chertoff; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven siblings; his sister-in-law, Ruth O’Carroll and her husband, George; and many nieces and nephews. Eleftherios “Danny” Fikaris, 66, of West Windsor died July 12, at home. Born in Chios, Greece, he emigrated to the United States in 1970. He was the owner of Danny’s Painting, Zorba’s Grill, and Zorba’s Brother Restaurant in Princeton. He graduated from culinary school in Chios, Greece, and spent 10 years traveling the world as a merchant seaman.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Anne Barberides Fikaris; his four daughters, Elena, Joanna, and Diana Fikaris, and Aphrodite Antinoro; his three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dimitrios and Barbara Fikaris of Levittown, Pennsylvania, Nicholas and Popi Fikaris, and Panayiotis and Haroula Fikaris, all of Athens, Greece; and two sisters, Sophia Fiste and Patra Kalamakis of Chios, Greece. Marvin Siegel, 79, of Galloway died July 14 at home. Born in Bronx, New York, he was a former Plainsboro resident. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Perlstein; his daughters and sons-in-law, Mindy Lazar of Plainsboro, Shari and Michael Adams of Freehold, and Lisa and Jason Diamond of Glastonbury, Connecticut; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Myron Ort, and Elaine and Ronald Levy, all of Florida; six grandchildren, Stefanie and her husband Joseph Campo, Nicole and her husband Sean Murphy, Brian Lazar and his girlfriend Tania, and Tyler, Jordan and Noah Diamond; and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Joey Campo.

George L. Trubin, 88, of West Windsor died July 15 at home. Born in Red Bank, he moved from Yardley, Pennsylvania, to West Windsor in 2001.

An Army veteran, he served during World War II. He was vice president of international and domestic manufacturing at National Starch and Chemical Corporation, where he worked for more than 41 years before retiring in 1988.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Barbara Satter Trubin; a son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Debbie Trubin; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tamara and Michael Wang, Cheryl and Ronald Peragallo, and Janice and Michael Giggey; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donna F. Cannie, 56, of Plainsboro died July 16 in University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania, she lived in Plainsboro for more than 25 years.

Cannie was a real estate agent for more than 10 years, and from 1993 to 2006 she was the owner and president of Advanced Vending Services. She was a member of the Princeton Council and the Princeton Corridor Rotary Club.

Survivors include her husband, Jay F. Cannie; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Cannie and Kathryn Kilkenny; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Derek Dibbern; two brothers, Carl and Daniel Bissey; three sisters, Stephanie Simak, Tammy Mast, and Melody Frey; and three grandchildren, Trevor and Griffin Cannie, and Ella Dibbern.

Albert Marshall Zigler, 86, a former West Windsor resident, died December 15 in Greensboro, North Carolina. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, August 9, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, 154 South Mill Road, West Windsor. He will be buried next to his late wife, Audrey, who died in 1996, in the church cemetery following the service.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was raised in Indianapolis Indiana. A graduate of Bucknell University, Class of 1948, he received his law degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1951. Zigler served in the Navy during World War II. Former general counsel and secretary of Western Electric Company, he retired from AT&T in 1986. He was also a retired member of New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina bar associations.

Zigler was a former member and chairman of West Windsor Planning Board, a former member of the West Windsor Parking Authority, former President of West Windsor Republican Club, and a former member of the West Windsor Lions Club. He also was a former member, trustee, and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck.

Survivors include his children, Robert K and Katherine Zigler II of Boise, Idaho, Peter S. and Carolina Zigler of Chula Vista, California, and Amy J. Zigler of McLeansville, North Carolina; five grandchildren: Bryan Zigler, Sean Zigler, and Nicole Zigler, of Chula Vista, California, and Justin Clark and Hayley Clark of McLeansville; and one great granddaughter, Alyssa Zigler of Chula Vista; his sister, Donna Jensen; brothers James Zigler and Robert Zigler; his niece Allison Smith of West Patterson; and his special friend Janice Morris, of Greensboro, North Carolina.
