South: Alice Eltvedt finished 10th at the state diving championship on March 3, with a score of 302.40. Danielle Erickson finished 12th, with a score of 272.25. Louise Eltvedt finished 16th, with a score of 204.40.

Wrestling

North (0-17) An 11th place finish, with 10 points, at the District 20 Tournament on February 20.

South (8-4) Alfonso Gonzalez, at 145 pounds, fell in the preliminary round of the Region V Tournament, 19-6, on February 22.

Alfonso Gonzalez, at 145 pounds, finished third in the District 20 tournament. South came in 10th, with a score of 30. Gonzalez defeated his opponent, 12-8, in the consolation finals. Gonzalez moves on to the Region 5 tournament. Brian Ogelsby, at 125 pounds, and David Calves, HWT, each placed fourth.

Boys’ Track

North.Corey Abernathy placed second in the Shot Put at the Meet of Champions on February 27, 59-4. Jim Rosa placd sixth in the 3,200, with a time of 9:13.03.

Jim Rosa ran the fastest time in the country in the 3,200 race, with a time of 9:05.26, at the Group III Indoor Track Championship on February 20. North finished in fourth place, with 20 points, at the Group III Indoor Track Championship on February 20. Corey Abernathy placed second in shot put, with a distance of 60 feet even. Jon Squeri placed fifth in the 3,200, with a time of 9:32.29.

South. Sam Macaluso placed third in the 1,600, with a time of 4:14.57 at the Meet of Champions on February 27.

Sam Macaluso won the 1,600, with a time of 4:14.94, setting a record, at the Group III Indoor Track Championship on February 20. Brian Schoepfer finished fourth in the 1,600 with a time of 4:19.18, a personal record. South finished in eighth place, with 14 points, at the meet.

Girls’ Track

North. Ryan Williams placed sixth in the 55 Hurdles, with an 8.33, in the Meet of Champions on February 27.

Emily Scott placed third in the 3,200, with a time of 11:05.18, at the Group III Indoor Track Championship on February 20. Ryan Williams finished second in hurdles, with a score of 8.45. North finished 6th, with a score of 14.

South. Caroline Kellner placed fourth in the 3,200, with a time of 10:58.41, in the Meet of Champions on February 27.
