GroWW (Greening of West Windsor) committee seeks West Windsor residents to nominate and/or volunteer gardens for the tour on Saturday, June 26. A self-guided map will allow walkers, bikers, and drivers to tour gardens at their own pace. The committee is interested in flower, vegetable, and container gardens. SmileTrain benefits through Miles of Smiles, a 5K race on Sunday, March 28, at 10 a.m., at West Windsor Community Park. Organized by Noah Wolfe of West Windsor for his Bar Mitzvah project, all proceeds benefit children in India and China. Cotsen Children’s Library is seeking works for its inaugural writing competition for ages 8 to 16. Write a short story (350 words maximum) that includes the sentence “It was empty, and they were gone.” Deadline is Monday, March 15, 5 p.m. Three age categories.
