West Windsor Community Farmers Market opens its seventh season on Saturday, May 1. The market will be open every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, until October 30. The location is the Vaughn Drive parking lot off Alexander Road, on the southbound side of the Princeton Junction Train Station.

New vendors this year include Nomad Pizza with breakfast and lunch pizzas made in a mobile wood burning pizza truck, and Catherine’s Vegan Sweets of Trenton. For a complete list of vendors visit www.westwindsorfarmersmarket.org.

Community groups and non-profits attending the market on a regular basis include the West Windsor Arts Council, the West Windsor Bike and Pedestrian Alliance, and “Yes, We Can”, a volunteer group that collects food for the Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton. On June 12, the market will host a drive to collect used bicycles as well as gently-used medical equipment. There is usually musical entertainment.

Participating farms include Cherry Grove Organic Farm, with organic beef, pork, lamb, and cheeses; Chia-Xin Florist and Gardener with Asian produce, bedding, and hanging plants; ER & Son Organic Farm, organic produce; Griggstown Quail Farm, with poultry, chicken pot pies, and fruit pies; North Slope Organic Farm with organic produce; Olsen’s Greenhouses with herbs, gourds, and wreaths; Silver Forge Farm with eggs and produce; and WoodsEdge Wools Farm, alpaca and llama wool products, and honey. Seasonal produce and other products will be sold by Krowicki Farm, Stults Farm, and Terhune Orchards.

Non-farm vendors include Ducky Life Tea with organic teas; FunniBonz Barbeque Sauces, Rubs & Marinades; Good Times Kettle Corn; Grovers Mill Coffee Company with coffee, smoothies, and ground coffee; Olsson’s Fine Foods with ice creams and lemonade; Pure Indian Foods Organic Ghee; Simply Nic’s Specialty Foods with natural shortbread; Stony Brook Orchids; and Village Bakery with bread, muffins, and breakfast pastries.
