WW Arts Council Seeks Asst. Director
West Windsor Arts Council seeks an assistant director/program coordinator in a half-time position. The major responsibility will be to manage a community arts center presenting arts and cultural events, classes, workshops, and exhibits in the new facility; working with volunteer committees to program, market, and promote cultural activities; prepare production budgets; determine technical requirements; troubleshoot tech and house problems; negotiate and finalize contracts with artists; maintain the condition of all equipment; and staff all events with contracted professionals, existing staff, or volunteers.
The summer months include preparing for the grand opening events beginning in September. Background or degree in arts administration or theater management is desirable. Technical knowledge and experience in lighting and sound is important and experience in coordinating arts education programs is highly desirable.
