Paul W. Hanslin, 81, of Charlestown, Rhode Island died July 17 at his home. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Suzy Hanslin of West Windsor; and grandchildren, Tom, Brian, and Sarah Hanslin. Dorothy Marie Hannah, 94, of San Antonio, Texas died July 18. Survivors include a grandson, Cary L. Hall Jr. and his wife, Nicola, of West Windsor.

Peter Schipfer, 47, of Franklin Park died July 20 at his home in Franklin Park. Survivors include his best friend, Tonette Madsen of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to the Franklin Township Animal Shelter, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset 08873.

Lynn Margaret Murphy, 43, of Plainsboro died July 24 in the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Plainsboro, she graduated from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, Class of 1985.

Survivors include her mother, Marilyn L. (Lowe) Murphy; her sister, Laura Murphy; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Murphy Jr. and Bonnie, and Tim and Eileen Murphy; and two nephews, Michael Murphy and Jonathan Springfield.

Patricia J. Cheng, 72, of West Windsor died July 24. Services were held at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

Alice M. Smith, 87, of West Windsor, died July 25 at home. Born in Trenton, she retired from General Motors in Ewing after 25 years of service as a press operator.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce A. Jr. and Lois Smith of West Windsor; and three grandchildren, Richard Allen, Robin Aileen, and Rose Ashley Smith.

Margaret “Peggy” A. Selk Ashton, 78, of Hamilton died July 27. Survivors include a son, Mark A. Ashton of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton 08053.

Rose Kaby Miller, 92, of Laguna Woods, California, died July 27. Survivors include a son, Victor Miller of Plainsboro; and granddaughter and her husband, Rachel Miller Davis and Brian Davis of New London, Connecticut.

Kevin A. Pienkowski, 49, of New Britain, Connecticut, died July 27 at home. Survivors include a brother, Peter Trzasko and his wife, Ann of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to the Hospice of Central Connecticut, 56 West Main Street, Plainville, CT 06062.

Lillian Lucas, 93, of Monroe Township, died July 29 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick. Survivors include granddaughters, Deborah Martin of West Windsor, and Diana Martin of Plainsboro.

Hazel H. Pesin, 83, of Ewing died July 28. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Alan Kurfirst of West Windsor. Donations may be made to Greenwood House, 53 Walter Street, Ewing 08628.

Genesio “Gene” Pinelli Jr., 73, of Princeton died July 29 in the University Medical Center of Princeton. Survivors include a niece, Debra Tamasi and her husband, Mario of West Windsor. Donations may be made to Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, Box 529, Princeton 08542.

John Menapace, 82, of Durham, North Carolina, died July 30. A graduate of Yale University, he worked at Oxford University Press, was director of design and production at Duke University Press, and a well-known photographer and printer.

Survivors include a sister, Jean Gunkel of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the John Menapace Photography Endowment, Gregg Museum of Art and Design, Campus Box 7306, Raleigh, NC 27695.

Arthur A. Mitlak, 84, of West Hartford, Connecticut, died August 2. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Tirza Mitlak of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Drive, West Hartford, CT 06117-1499.

William V. Skorupski, 87, of Monmouth Junction died August 5, in the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Bayonne, he was a veteran of World War II and retired from General Cable in 1988, after 37 years of service. He lived in Plainsboro from 1992 to 2000.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Alma M. Skorupski; his son, William J. Skorupski; his daughter, Debra E. Kennedy; grandchildren, Kelly Scofield and Courtney Kennedy; and a great-grandson, Matthew Scofield.

Howard P. Sorensen, 87, of Cape Coral, Florida, died July 28, at Gulf Coast Village, Cape Coral. A former West Windsor resident, he retired to Florida in 1980.

Born in Racine, Wisconsin, he was an Army veteran of WWII, Pacific Theater, with the responsibility of the operation and reconstruction of railways on Honshu Island. He was among the first Americans to view the aftermath of the Hiroshima bombing. A graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Class of 1949, he was an executive with Sears, Roebuck, and Company for 30 years.

Survivors include his brother, John Sorensen of Racine, Wisconsin; a daughter and son-in-law, Marianne Sorensen Carnevale and Michael F. Carnevale II of Princeton; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Cermele Sorensen of Lawrenceville, and grandchildren Jane M. Sorensen of Philadelphia, Molly R. Sorensen of Lawrenceville, Elizabeth E. Carnevale and Michael F. Carnevale III of Princeton. Donations may be made to Mercer County Special Olympics, 3 Princess Road, Lawrenceville 08648.

Scott John O’Connor, 48, of West Windsor died August 6 at his home. Born in Amityville, New York, he was raised in Burlington County, and lived in West Windsor for the last 16 years. He was a building contractor and partner in Little Construction Company of Mount Holly. A member of St. David the King Church, he was active in coaching Pop Warner football and Little League baseball teams.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; a daughter, Kelsey; a son, Thomas; his brothers and sister-in-laws, Shawn and Noelle of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania; and Raymond and Angela of Moorestown; his sister, Kimberly Sunyak of Phoenix, Arizona; his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Rita Nehila of Millsboro, Delaware; his brother-in-law, Edward Nehila Jr. and his wife, Jodi, of Delran, and 10 nieces and nephews. Donations to Thomas’ educational fund are appreciated.

Stanley Gordon Teixeira, 88, of Severna Park, Maryland, died August 7. A former West Windsor resident, he was born in Georgetown, British Guyana, and worked as an airline inspector for Airlift International Airlines in Miami, Florida for most of his adult life.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard Davis and Sharon Teixeira of Omaha, Nebraska, John Gordon and Margaret Teixeira of Severna Park, Maryland, and Peter Cushman and Tacey Teixeira of Oviedo, Florida; his sisters, Gertrude Fricker of West Windsor, and Edmee Goveia of Markham, Canada; his brother, Richard Teixeira of Kailua, Hawaii; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Peter P. Randazzo, 93, of Parlin, died August 11, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Julie Randazzo of West Windsor. Visiting hours are Friday, August 13, 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m., at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Saturday, August 14, at 9:45 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
