Births

The University Medical Center at Princeton has announced the following births:

A daughter was born to Plainsboro resident Monica and Jean Pierre Ledermann, October 1,

Sons were born to Plainsboro residents Xianghui Du and Zhong Ping Shi, September 20.

A son was born to West Windsor residents Neha Desai Shah and Shalin Raj Shah, September 29.

Daughters were born to West Windsor residents Peishan Ang and Simon Rosof, September 30; and Farzana and Shehzad Khan, October 2.

Deaths

Charles Sleppy Slonaker, 85, of Valencia, Pennsylvania, died September 18. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Anne of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Vasculitis Foundation, Box 28660, Kansas City, MO 64188; or The United Presbyterian Church of New Kensington, 601 5th Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068.

George Kirkwood Jr., 83, of West Windsor died September 23 at home. Born and raised in Kentucky and Indiana, he served in the Army between 1945 and 1946. He had several television repair businesses and retired into the restoration and rental of lower income rental property.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle P. and Thomas Hudak of West Windsor; and his grandchildren Cole and Lindsey Hudak.

Josephine D. Tirinato, 85, of Toms River died September 29. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Mike Zelin of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-0050.

Horace W. ‘Scotty’ Scott, 81, of Hamilton died September 29 at his home. Born in Dutch Neck, he was a graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1948, and served in the NJ National Guard, 50th Armored Division. A former co-owner of the Village Bar in Trenton, he worked with Freihofer Baking Company, Borden’s Dairy, and Reitman Industries.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elma Carson Scott; three daughters and sons-in-law, Amy Scott Randolph and Bernard Randolph, Elizabeth Scott Hand, and Meg and Jack Koeppel; a sister, Dora Scott Stanhope of Groton, Connecticut; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Susan Fanella; a brother-in-law and his wife, Elmer and Joyce Carson.

Norman W. Bocklage, 71, of New York City, died October 3 in the Atlantis Rehabilitation and Residential Health Care Facility. He was a retired major in the Air Force. He was a former area resident who worked with A-1 Limousine until 2004. Survivors include his sister, Judy Bocklage of Plainsboro.
