County taxes and fees have increased by 160 percent during the past 10 years. We cannot afford to pay higher taxes. From 2000 to 2008, even before this recession, previous state administrations and legislatures have made our state the most business-unfriendly state in the country and increased taxes. This cost our state 165,000 jobs, 300,000 residents, and $70 billion in revenue. The recession has made the situation even worse. Tom Goodwin has a business background, understands you can’t spend what you don’t have, and wants to work with Gov.
