High School North physical education teacher and coach Trevor Warner was praised at the October 26 school board meeting for his “act of heroism” on October 25 for saving a student’s life.
According to police reports, a 15-year-old student in his gym class on October 25 collapsed around 1 p.m. and was having a seizure. Warner called 9-1-1 and began administering CPR until police and paramedics arrived and took over.
During the school board meeting, Superintendent Victoria Kniewel said that Warner “provided a heroic deed for one our students.”
Debbie Baer, president of the West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Association, also commended Warner for his quick actions. She said the deed was a testament to the “complex nature” of teaching.
