The murdery mystery, “Mr. and Mrs. North, runs Thursday through Saturday, November 18 to 20, at High School North. Tickets are $8. “Who could resist a title like that for a place like this?” said director Debbie Goodkin. “I was thrilled when it turned out to be just the right choice for this year. I was looking for something light and flexible. It’s also new because we haven’t done a mystery yet at High School North.”
The play by Owen Davis is based on stories by Frances and Richard Lockridge published in New Yorker magazine in the 1940s. Pamela and Gerald North are a pleasant young couple trying to live quietly in their Greenwich Village apartment. He owns a small publishing company and she find a dead body in the closet. Police, best friends, and lovers get involved — but everyone has an alibi — sort of.
