Grover’s Mill Coffee House has become such a hot spot for music that the doors are opened, speakers are put outside, and the audience is invited to bring their own chairs. Their first music festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 31 and August 1, at 7:30 p.m. No cover charge.##M:[more]##
Each night there is an array of music genre including pop, rock, alternative, piano, southern rock, and bluegrass. “We are hosting this event to bring the community together in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere with a night of great entertainment,” says Mickey DeFranco, co-owner of the coffee house. “What inspired the Music Fest weekend was watching the performers who have come down to play, and the tremendous support they receive from those who come to listen. The love they have for their talent, and the joy they give out to each and every person at the coffee house is how this weekend came to be.”
Chris Jankoski, pictured at right, of West Windsor is hosting both evenings. He is also performing solo on Friday night and with his band, Concerned Citizens of Yesteryear, on Saturday. “Chris has shared his music passion with us since we opened, and has truly been the man behind the music at Grover’s Mill,” says DeFranco. “Our house band (Concerned Citizens of Yesteryear) has been a such a positive force to all the entertainers who have played at Grover’s Mill Coffee House.”
“With the amazing playbill of performers, our music fest weekend is anticipated to be our biggest entertainment weekend to date,” says DeFranco. “We hope the community will enjoy a weekend of great talent.”
