Martin Timins of West Windsor has an exhibit of his pen-and-ink portraits featuring movie stars at the West Windsor library through January 31. A senior editor at Parade magazine since 1975, Timins has lived in West Windsor since 1982.
He has been producing pen and ink composites of film, television, and music stars since 1975 and had done dozens of pieces on commission, most recently Natalie Wood and Marilyn Monroe. While many of the portraits include the personal signatures of the subjects, many feature autographs that were purchased.
The exhibit includes images of Henry Fonda, Paul Newman, Edie Adams, Humphrey Bogart, and Boris Karloff. Timins, 62, who trained at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, has signed and numbered lithographs of 12 of his pieces. A price list is available at the library’s front desk or by calling 609-799-7143.
