Jeanette H. Haggerty, 91, of Plainsboro died on January 8 at home. Born in Hasbrouck Heights, she lived in Plainsboro since 2006. Survivors include her daughter, Kate Vanderbush, and three grandchildren, Christina Steele, Gilbert Vanderbush, and Scott Vanderbush Jr.##M:[more]##

Lois J. Durie, 80, of Kearny died January 8 at home. Survivors include a nephew, Robert C. Durie and his wife Nancy, and their sons Joe, Tom, and John, all of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington, 663 Kearny Avenue, Kearny 07032.

Carolynde Stuyvesant Catlin Hodgson, 85, of Havelock, NC, died January 9. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Catlin and Mary Hodgson of West Windsor; and granddaughter, Catherine Elizabeth Hodgson of West Windsor. Donations may be made to St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Havelock or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Miriam Rosenblatt-Sadowitz Gomberg, 81, of Monroe died January 9, at her residence. Survivors include a daughter, Amy Rose of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Aaron Colbert, 89, died January 10 in Livingston. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Myra Colbert of West Windsor; and three grandchildren, Meg, David, and Savannah. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Ernest Guarasci, 80, of Niagara Falls, New York, died on January 11, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Michael E. and Mary Guarasci of West Windsor.

Jeffrey A. Eichhorn, 62, of Henderson, Nevada died January 11 in Harbor House Hospice, Las Vegas, Nevada. Survivors include a son, Robert J. Eichhorn of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to either the American Diabetes Association, 1160 Route 22E, Bridgewater 08807, or the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, #301, Robbinsville 08691.

Adele Middleberg of Hamilton died January 13. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a former West Windsor resident. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Marc and Janine Middleberg of Manalapan, Sharon and David Long of Reston, Virginia, and Rona Middleberg and Steven Zwerling of New York City.

Marsha R. Martin, 76, of Boca Raton, Florida, died January 15 in Boca Raton. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Teri Martin of West Windsor; and grandchildren Rachel and Scott Martin. Donations may be made to the Tri County Humane Society, 21287 Boca Rio Road, Boca Raton, FL, or the Hospice by the Sea, 1531 West Palmetta Park Road, Boca Raton, FL 33486.

William Pitus Jr., 78, of Aberdeen, died January 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. Survivors include his son, William III of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to Bereavement Ministry c/o Health Ministry, St. Joseph Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport 07735.

Jeffrey Edward Steffens, 54, died on January 9 in Pompano Beach, FL. He is survived by his wife, Andrea, and daughter, Ava, age 5, of Lighthouse Point, FL; his son, Scott, 14, and former wife, Denise Evans of Fleminton, as well as his father, Howard, of Fanwood and mother, Lenore, of Plainsboro. A service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury, PA, on Saturday, January 24, at 11 a.m. Contributions may be made to the George School Library Fund in memory of Jeffrey Steffens, Box 4438, Newtown, PA 18940.

Muriel Blatt Zuckerman, 88, died on January 18 at home. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Emmy Zuckerman and Ed Bonfield of West Windsor. Donations be made either to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America or to Triform Camphill Community in Hudson, New York.

Frank Joseph Mazzeo, 78, of Plainsboro died January 20, in the University Medical Center at Princeton. He was born and raised in Jersey City and for the last 25 years has been a resident of Plainsboro. Frank retired as an investment banker with Rauscher Pierce Company of New York City.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church of Plainsboro and a member of the Air Force Band during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Bagnasco Mazzeo of Plainsboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank Joseph III and Lori Mazzeo of West Windsor, and a sister, Helen Tarnacki of Florida. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, January 23, at Queenship of Mary Church, Dey Road, Plainsboro. Burial will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Moe Goldberg, 93, of Monroe died January 21 in Cranbury. Survivors include his stepdaughter, Lynn Miller, community news editor of the News. Donations may be made to Jewish War Veterans at www.jwv.org.
