South graduate Mallory Swanson, a sophomore on the Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team, scored a team-high seven goals. She leads the team with 14 points. She was also named the Empire 8 Player of the Week.
North graduate Megan Pisani, who now plays for the Rider field hockey team, has a team-high 14 goals.
South alumnus Ryan Lupo rushed for 107 yards and scored two touchdowns for Williams College in a win against Bates.
West Windsor resident Marissa Kirkendoll, 11, placed sixth in the A Division 50 breast, with a time of 37.51, at Oktoberfest 2009 on October 10 and 11 at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology. The event awarded top eight swimmers in the A, BB, and B divisions. Kirkendoll also placed seventh in the BB Division for the 50 back, with a time of 34.60 and 50 free, with a time of 30.16.
Jack McIntyre, 11, also of West Windsor, placed fifth in the A Division for the 50 free, with a time of 28.57 and seventh in the 100 free, with a time of 1:00.87. McIntyre also took first place in the BB Division in the 100 IM, with a time of 1:12.09, sixth in the 50 breast, with a time of 39.88, sixth in the 50 fly, with a time of 33.06, and seventh in the 50 back, with a time of 34.84. Kirkendoll and McIntyre both swim for Eastern Express (EEX), a Princeton-area competitive swim team and member club of USA Swimming.
South football’s Zachary Hundertmark has committed to playing for the University of Louisville, which he picked over Rutgers, Purdue, North Carolina, and Connecticut. He has been ranked as the nation’s number 123 offensive tackle.
J.B. Fitzgerald, a South graduate and now a sophomore linebacker at the University of Michigan, had five tackles in Michigan’s 63-6 win over Delaware State.
Ryan Sleeper and Anthony Lee, former distance runners for North’s cross country and track teams, finished 6th and 11th, respectively, at the Vermont State Cross Country Meet. Sleeper runs for the University of Vermont, and Anthony Lee runs for Middlebury College. Sleeper also finished 6th at the St. Michaels College Invitational, where Vermont took first place.
Princeton University sophomore Brian Leung, former South cross country and track team member, finished first at the Princeton Invitational.
