James Francis Wilcox, 53, of Simi Valley, California, died February 8. Born in Elmira, New York, he moved to West Windsor with his family in 1970.

A graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1972, he moved to Simi Valley in 1977. He was a news assistant with the Ventura County Star.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Hiroko Shinjo Wilcox; his sons Douglas and Brian; his mother and stepfather, Gloria and George Scholten of New Hope, Pennsylvania; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephen and Lori Wilcox of Plano, Texas, Bill Wilcox of Saginaw, Texas, Joseph Wilcox and partner Thaddeus Sniegocki of New Hope, and Jack and Amy Wilcox of Providence, Rhode Island; and two sisters and brothers-in-law.

Wilma Pentecost Story, 88, died February 19. She was a former Plainsboro resident.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Cullen Story of Southern Plantation, Loganville, Georgia; sons, Edward, Lyle, and Donald; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, J. Dwight Pentecost of Dallas, Texas, and Albert E. Pentecost of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and a sister in-law, Margaret Pentecost of LaFayette, Georgia.

Charles A. Cassaro, 64, of Plainsboro died February 28 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born and raised in Manhattan, he lived in Plainsboro for 24 years.

A Navy veteran, he was vice president of E.F. Hutton for 20 years and later worked for Solomon Brothers.

Survivors include his wife Patricia C. Ianiro Cassaro of Plainsboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Renner of Plainsboro and Christine and Gregory Tantum of Woodstown; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Salvatore and Diana Cassaro of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Mary Cassaro of Piscataway; a sister, Isabelle Cassaro of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; his father-in-law, David Ianiro of Monroe; three grandchildren, Brian Charles Renner, Zoe Nicole Tantum, and Kacie Nicole Tantum; and an aunt “Sis” Marino of Monroe.

Joseph Pierro, 82, of West Windsor died March 1 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Molfetta, Italy, he came to the United States in 1938. He moved to West Windsor in 2001.

During World War II he served in the Navy as a metalsmith second class, primarily in the Pacific Theater.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Faustina Minutillo Pierro; his son and daughter-in-law, Mario and Diane Pierro of West Windsor; his daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Paul Altamura of East Windsor; five grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony, Jessica, Joseph, and Erica; a sister, Antoinette DeRobertis of Pennsylvania; and a brother, Corrado Pierro of Fort Lee.

Helen Coutros, 74, of Perth Amboy died March 2, at home. Survivors include her daughter, Stella Coutros of Plainsboro.

Edward J. Geisel, 81, of Columbus died March 3 at his home. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he lived in West Windsor from 1972 to 1993.

Geisel retired after 35 years as a senior marketing representative for Dupont Company of Wilmington, Delaware. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a former commander of American Legion Post of Princeton, and a member of VFW.

Survivors include his wife Angela Schweiger Geisel of Columbus; three daughters and a son-in-law, Marie Denise and Jack Robbins of Bordentown, Stacy Patrice and Colette Lorraine Geisel, both of New York City; three sons, Edward Kevin of Bordentown, Keith Thomas of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Matthew James of Columbus; two brothers, William F. and Robert E.; two sisters, Alice T. Landers and Dorothy M. Cannon; and four grandchildren, Olivia Denise, Abigail Leigh, and Katherine and Hunter Thomas Geisel.
