While teens look forward to their senior prom as a time to think about formal dresses, tuxedos, limousines, corsages, pre-prom parties, and hair salons, their parents are spending many hours coordinating an evening of entertainment, music, food, activities, and prizes in a safe, drug and alcohol-free setting from midnight until 5 a.m.##M:[more]##
High School North’s prom and post-prom are being planned for Friday, May 30. High School South’s prom events are on Friday, June 6. Designed to keep the teens away from drugs and alcohol at other parties, it is also a time for them to have fun with fellow classmates — who may not have attended the formal prom.
Post Prom events are not only entirely planned and hosted by parents, but are funded by tax-deductible donations from parents and community businesses. The parents also organize clothing drives, fashion shows, and sales to raise the needed funds. All donations are tax deductible.
